Authorities catch poacher after multi-year investigation

KIMT News 3 – A Blue Earth man is in trouble with authorities after he was caught poaching again.

28-year-old Brandon Greeley is a licensed bear guide in Tofte and is well-known by Minnesota DNR conservation officers in northern and southern Minneosta as a chronic poacher.

After the latest investigation, which conservation officers began in 2012, Greeley was convicted of several gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor charges, fined nearly $4,000 and lost hunting privileges for three years.

Local hunting advocates say, unfortunately Greeley is not the only poacher out there and you should turn people in if you see them doing something illegal.
